Inspiration

At Livesax.dk, we specialise in bringing the unique, live energy of the saxophone to your event. Whether you're planning a wedding, an exclusive corporate event, or an intimate reception, the saxophone can elevate the experience from good to unforgettable.

Here are three ways you can integrate live saxophone:

1. The perfect welcome: Reception & Lounge from jazz to modern cocktail vibes to a sophisticated “Ibiza sunshine” vibe.

  • Why: Live saxophone acts as the perfect “icebreaker”. The soft, warm tones welcome guests without dominating conversation, creating a relaxed and exclusive atmosphere. Also provides great atmospheric photos or videos.
  • Ideal for: Welcome drinks, receptions, and networking events.

Weekend Sax Duo performs instrumental covers of great groove pop standards, played live with saxophone, guitar, loops, and the classic 808 drum machine.

The following playlist was used for playing the sun down at Folkemøde in Allinge 2026.

    2. During dinner: An atmospheric soundscape/sound menu while guests talk and eat. A professional DJ/saxophonist can navigate the soundscape and adjust the intensity as food is served and speeches take place.
Coordinate with the toastmaster or host regarding any speeches (use of microphone), musical interludes (professional support for musical interludes), and singalongs (intro, key, appropriate backing tracks, tempo, ending).
After a speech, the DJ/saxophonist can, for example, play a song that matches the mood of the speech – small details (kissing rounds...) like these make the dinner extra memorable.

    • Why:  It adds an elegant dimension to the dinner. The saxophone's timbre complements the acoustics of the room, creating a sense of handcrafted luxury and presence.
    • Ideal for: Wedding dinners, gala dinners, and exclusive dinner events.

    3. The Party and Dance Floor: When the party needs to really get started, we shift gears. The combination of DJ and live saxophone is the ultimate way to get guests onto the dance floor. As a saxophonist, you could, for example, make a surprise appearance during the bride's waltz, have fairy lights/LEDs on the sax to become a dancing surround sound light show that involves guests in conga lines or dancing singalongs :)

    • Why: I bring the energy directly to the dance floor. By performing, interacting with guests, and playing along to the biggest hits, I become an active part of the party – not just a musician on stage.
    • Ideal for: Wedding parties, company summer parties and New Year's events.

Examples of different songs I enjoy playing with a DJ. Normally, however, I will follow the mood of the room, the hosts' wishes and the DJ's intuition. :)

There is plenty of inspiration out there on, for example, Instagram.
Flamboyant Live saxophone / percussion / dancers / costumes/ Hats etc. is increasingly a big thing around the world. I have gathered examples below:

    Ossana sax

    Daniela Vitale

    Kyrisax

    Lugotti sax

Playing with the room's acoustics / reverb

I am ready to realise your festive ideas. For example, a Wedding Procession with New Orleans drums and live sax through central Aarhus. 🙂
